The Power Of Praise And Worship In Spiritual Warfare
Today, I want us to look at the power of praise and worship in spiritual warfare.
When you pray, God answers you by giving His angels charge to attend to your needs.
But when you praise and worship God, He takes on the battle Himself and assumes the responsibility to answer your prayer all by Himself.
There’s no intermediary when praise and worship is involve.
God gets on the job directly and responds to you Himself when praise and worship is involved.
That said, let me now show you in a jiffy the power of praise and worship in spiritual warfare and how to apply it to your life, circumstances and peculiar situation.
Ready!
Let’s get to it.

The Power Of Praise And Worship In Spiritual Warfare
Here’s why praise and worship is one of the most potent weapon in the arsenal of the believer for spiritual warfare:
1. Praise Moves God
Did you ever hear the saying: ‘prayer moves mountain, but praise moves God.’
That’s a fact.
When you engage God through praise, you are appealing to a sensitive part of His nature.
You are doing what God loves most, what He originally created every living creature for.
And when God is full of praise, He moves into action for to judge and revenge you of your enemies.
So, if you like to have shut cuts with God, look at praising and worshipping Him more than you even pray.
When you do, God will move and when He moves, mountains flee on their own accord and hills skip like little lambs. (Psalm114)
So you see, it is enlightened self-interest to go the way of praise and worship in spiritual warfare.
Give God praise and He will move the mountains Himself.
2. Worship Provokes His Holiness
Now, worship is power with God, it is the most solemn act of the believer.
In worship, you interact with the holiness of God, which is His highest nature.
The word ‘holiness’ is synonymous with ‘terror’.
Yes, that’s the only way to describe holiness.
When you worship God, you provoke His terror on your enemies.
You wake up the nature of God that consumes with fire. (See Hebrews 12:29, KJV)
Yes, His holiness consumes your enemies.
And on the other hand, God’s holiness refines your personality.
(There’s beauty in holiness, you know)
(See Psalm 29:2, KJV and Psalm 96:9, KJV).
That’s how and why worship and praise do damage on the enemy more than any other weapon of warfare in your spiritual arsenal.

3. Praise Gives God Pleasure
Did you ever eulogize a person?
In Africa, kings are eulogize.
There are special assistants to a king that are trained in the art of eulogy and when they get into the praise of the king, the king himself will feel pleased, full and satisfied.
I tell you, the pleasure a king gets from being eulogize is way more than the pleasure of food and drink.
Think of God as King of kings (that’s who He is) and then go praising and eulogizing Him; you know the rest of the story.
He is pleased with your worship and your praise. (Psalm 149:4, Revelation 4:11)
And when God is filled to the overflow with praises coming from you, your enemies are in trouble.
He will arise and your enemies will be scattered. (Psalm 68:1)
4. Worship Is Preference For Him
God is a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14)
You can’t give what is His to another.
In this case, you can’t give worship that is His and His alone to another.
Israel as a nation had it hot with God when they went worshipping other gods.
By that act, they were acknowledging and giving the first place to demons and idols rather than God.
You see, in worship you acknowledge God for who He is, you give Him His place as the first and preeminence in your life. (Deuteronomy 4:39, NIV)
And when you do that, the Lord of Hosts will stand up for you and destroy everything and anything that is contesting that His first position in your life.
This is another fact that gives potency to the power of praise and worship in spiritual warfare.
5. Worship Is Doing His Will
A lot of believers want to do God’s will.
This is so because when you are in God’s will and doing His will, no devil can successfully touch you, and no circumstances can ever prevail against and over you.
Worship is God’s will and purpose for man.
Worship is doing the will of God.
In worship, you do His will and when you do His will, He too does what you will. (Psalm 118:7)
6. Worship Is Service
God promises reward for service (Exodus 23:25-27)
In short, the main reason God gave for the deliverance of Israel from Egypt was so that Israel may serve (worship) Him. (See Exodus 4:23)
That completely agrees with the foremost reason why He created man in the first place (Rev 4:11)
And did you know the person you serve determines your greatness in life?
Who you serve protects, keeps and preserves you.
Yes, it is the responsibility of the object of your service and worship to protect, provide, and prosper you, its subject.
With that understanding, you can now very well see why God protects and comes to the defense of a true worshipper.
Give God the praise due Him and you will see in action the power of praise and worship in spiritual warfare.
7. God’s Utmost
Another reason why praise and worship is so potent in spiritual warfare is because they are God’s utmost in life.
The reason for creation is such that the creation will give the creator pleasure.
Nothing compares to serving God.
Working for God is good, but giving Him worship is best.
Praying is great, but praising God is superior and more blessed.
All other things that you do for God are good, but nothing compares to kneeling before Him in worship, interacting with His holiness, blessing Him for who He really is.
Work all you can for God, but give more of your time in personal intimacy with Him, loving, praising and worshipping Him all the more.
And you will see Him bring your desire upon your enemies.

Conclusion
The power of praise and worship in spiritual warfare!
We see the example of King Jehoshaphat of Judea when He was faced with four enemy nations.
And how God went to battle for Him and the children of Israel when they switched gear and change strategy.
They employ the ‘worship and praise strategy’ and God fought the battle for them without them lifting an arm. (2 Chronicles 20:1-30)
Again, we see Paul and Silas in the New Testament employing the same strategy when they were locked up in jail in Philippi. (Acts 16:25-34)
The result was the same.
God came down by Himself, the enemies of God were routed completely.
God came down by Himself, earthquake attended to Him and the doors to the jail flung open, the locks broken in their own accord.
That’s what praise and worship can do and will do for you even today.
God’s not change and His way of doing battles has not also changed. (Malachi 3:6)
When you do what people in Bible days did, you will get the same result they got. (1 Corinthians. 10:11)
God bless you.
