Truth be told; though the term ‘covered by the blood of Jesus’ brings about the feelings of sentiment, yet there’s something about that phrase that every true Christian should know about.
Yes, abused and misused by some of us, yet the importance and significance of that term should not be taken for granted.

The Power Of The Blood Of Jesus
Several years ago in the USA, a bunker was the one and best way to stay protected from storms and tornadoes.
The moment the storms are on the way, every one heads to the bunker for shelter, safety and security.
If you were fortunate to have a family that could afford the luxury of a bunker, then you are blessed.
And if not, you can go look for families who have one and then share with them.
Better still, go to government facilities to get one.
Be that as it may, you still have to be strong, healthy and able to walk to get yourself into the bunker since the storms can come at any time.
Upon a certain day, the storms came unannounced when everyone was away leaving a poor sick woman at home.
She could not get up from the bed; lost in her thought and somewhat confused as to what to do, she spontaneously blurted out: I am covered by the blood of Jesus.
The storm came close enough to the side of the room where she was, took 360 degrees turn and then head another direction.
The poor sick woman was delivered; of course by the blood of Jesus
Covered By The Blood Of Jesus – Blood Bunker
The blood of Jesus is a shield and a buckler; a bunker to protect you from satanic storms and typhoon.
It can intercept any arrow and blows from Satan, from the world and from all unseen wicked forces seeking to destroy you.
It has power enough to shield you from every, and all attacks.
But it has to be appropriated and activated if it must work.
What a bunker is to you in the time of storm and trouble is what the blood of Jesus is to you in times of trouble, satanic assaults and trials.
How To Appropriate And Activate The Power Of The Blood
Like every other promise of God’s word, the blood of Jesus must be appropriated and believed on to see the power and effect of it.
In Romans 10:10, the apostle Paul tells us how to do this:
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (KJV)
First he says; with the heart one believes unto.
First off, you have to believe that the blood of Jesus has enough protective and defensive power both in the seen and the unseen world.
Secondly, you would have to make confession of your believe.
Faith is not faith until it is spoken or declared.
The power of the blood of Christ will not be activated until you call it, declare or proclaim it.
It worked the same way the power of the name of Jesus works; by releasing it; by saying it with your mouth: ‘in the name of Jesus.’
You have got to declare the name for it to work.
Same goes for the blood.

What The Scripture Says About the Blood of Christ
To throw more light on the subject, let us see what the Scripture has to say about the power of the blood and how to put it to work in your life and in that of your loved ones.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11, KJV)
First off, that Scripture quoted above is talking about your daily warfare with the devil and his hosts of evil spirits.
Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not, you will have the devil to deal with all your life as long as you are a Christian.
He is the source of every of your opposition.
Now, to handle him and handle him right, the Scripture gives us the how.
Satan is overcome by the blood of Jesus.
Your redemption in Christ Jesus is your first victory over the devil.
And then, Satan is defeated by the word of your testimony.
What testimony?
Your testimony of the power of the blood of Jesus.
Your Testimony Of The Blood
Your testimony and continued confession and proclamation of your redemption from Satan’s hold and control is what puts you over.
Through the blood of Jesus, you have been delivered from the power and dominion of darkness and have now been transferred by relocation to the kingdom of the light of Christ.
Through the blood of Jesus, you have been delivered from the power and hold of sin.
Through the blood of Jesus you been made holy.
By the blood of Christ you are sanctified.
Through the blood of Christ, you are cleansed from all filthiness of the mind and the body
And by the blood of Christ you are redeemed from curses whatsoever.
That’s your confession.
That’s the way you overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb, by giving testimony to what the Scripture says the blood of Jesus has done for you.
Hallelujah!
All these and many more come to bear whenever you sincerely in faith say ‘I am covered by the blood of Jesus.’
Covered By The Blood Of Jesus: The Intention and Occasion
Now, before you run off with what you’ve seen so far, let us see into the intent of the use of the term: covered by the blood of Jesus.
There are a lot of things we do that may not be scriptural but are born out of good intentions.
Confronted by challenges and feeling exposed to danger, not sure of what to do and say, spontaneously you blurt out: I am covered by the blood of Jesus, I plead the blood.’
All you needed at the time was a covering and mostly the feeling of security.
And your use of the term brought about that feeling of being covered and protected.
And in the long run, you came out free, released from the fear of danger and delivered from the danger itself.
The blood of Jesus covered you and delivered you on the spur of the moment.
That’s more important than theology and scriptural exegesis.
That’s it my friend.
